Things I might try to accomplish in 2019.

  • Read 30 books. Preferably more, but I almost didn’t make my goal in 2018 so I’m aiming lower this year. Because grad school.
  • Submit stories to at least three places. Publication is a bonus, but the goal is to just submit.
    • Sub goal: Find places to submit. Create spiffy spreadsheet to track deadlines and other important details.
  • Reduce the amount of stuff in my house, one room at a time.
  • Pay down debt. I’m on the right track these days; I just want to keep the momentum going.
  • Have regular game nights with my kiddo. Invite others occasionally to share the excitement of the Oregon Trail Card Game (and others of the zillions of games we have and rarely play).
  • Finish novel outline version 2.0 for Finding Agnes so I have some glimmer of an idea how this whole thing is going to play out.
  • Walk at least 30 minutes a day. Intentionally.
    • Sub goal: Go on more hikes. Hike to every hillside letter in the Reno/Sparks/Carson City area.
  • Go camping. More than once. No set number, but more is better. I have time off accumulated for no good reason, so why not make use of it by taking long weekends this summer?
  • Save $50 each paycheck. I currently have a savings of zero, so even though this doesn’t seem like much, it’ll make a difference and create a habit where none currently exists.
